OIL HPL OPTIGEAR BM 68

Castrol Optigear™ BM is a range of high-performance extreme-pressure oils designed to prevent wear problems in heavily loaded gears and bearings. Optigear BM is formulated with Castrol Microflux Trans (MFT) Plastic Deformation (PD) additives. MFT PD helps to improve performance by acting when temperatures and loads reach an energy activation point, providing microscopic surface smoothing without increasing wear. The smooth surface offers optimum protection against wear and an extremely low coefficient of friction, particularly in applications involving extreme pressures, shock loads, vibrations or low speeds. MFT PD helps protect against scoring and shock loading whilst maintaining its ability to withstand high loads. It also helps prevent the development of micro-pitting in damaged gears. The Optigear BM range meets the requirements of DIN 51517 Part 3 CLP and is suitable for a wide range of industrial machinery and manufacturers. Optigear BM 68 and BM 220 are also classified as CGLP oils.
