GREASE HPL TRIBOL GR 1350-2.5 PD

Castrol Tribol™ GR 1350-2.5 PD (formerly Optipit™) is a lithium soap-based grease with a very high viscosity base oil with advanced Microflux Trans (MFT) additive technology. Microflux Trans additive technology provides optimal wear protection and an extremely low coefficient of friction even under extreme pressure, vibration and shock load situations, at high or low speeds and with uneven micro-smoothing of friction surfaces. Under high load, the components of the MFT additive combination are activated and distributed over surfaces, which improves frictional properties by plastic deformation. The by-products of the organic reaction become another component of the tribopolymer system. Unlike conventional lubricants, tribopolymers formed by MFT are long-chain compounds with excellent lubricating and adhering properties. This means that the load-bearing surface is improved and that the hydrodynamic lubrication film is easier to maintain. This physico-chemical reaction achieves surface micro-smoothing without material loss from the friction surfaces.
