GREASE HPL MOLUB-ALLOY OG 8031/3000-00

Castrol Molub-Alloy™ OG 8031/2200 and Molub-Alloy™ OG 8031/3000 are high-viscosity gel lubricants designed to lubricate large, high-load open gears. The gel technology brings consistency to the base fluid, creating an ultra-high viscosity lubricant (at 40°C/104°F, 18,500 and 19,000 mm²/s respectively) capable of withstanding heavy loads and cushioning the impacts common in open gear applications. A proprietary blend of Molub-Alloy solids, in synergy with extreme pressure (EP) and anti-wear (AW) reactive chemical additives, reduces contact temperatures and wear, while providing excellent anti-weld protection under extreme pressure and shock loads. The thixotropic nature of Molub-Alloy OG 8031 allows friction to be minimized and facilitates its application by standard spray systems or its use in splash immersion or tensioning roller systems. Once applied to the gear surface, Molub-Alloy OG 8031 forms a thick, tough semi-transparent film on the gear tooth, which can be inspected with strobe light during operation.
